I am an Associate Professor of the History of Political and Social Thought at the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, the University of Tokyo, Komaba, Japan. My research stands at the intersection between intellectual history and International Relations, focusing on the conceptions of empire and international order. Currently (Nov 2023), I mainly explore the work of the proponents of Colonial Policy Studies in modern Japan, examining it in a global intellectual history framework as my second monograph project.
